Rituale
The project Rituale was born as an homage to the moka machine, an instrument that has been a constant part of my Italian life and a source of inspiration.
The brand name, Rituale, embodies the personal, intuitive, and cherished process of making coffee. The project explores the visual language of this brand, including identity, product design, packaging, and a custom typeface.

Product & Design
The Rituale moka machine features a young, modern, and elegant design. Its two-sphere form symbolizes the sun and moon, representing a ritual that fits into any part of the day. The design also incorporates functional features like a broad base to protect the handle from heat and a splash-free, inner spout system. The machine is available in aluminum or stainless steel with a range of color combinations inspired by the shifting hues of day and night.
Packaging
The packaging was designed with a minimalist and sustainable approach. It consists of two molded pieces of recycled paper that securely encase the moka pot, protecting it during shipping and handling. A vertical wrap, color-coded to match the moka pot inside, holds the product information.
Typography
To reinforce the brand’s authenticity and create a human, approachable feel, a custom variable typeface called Rituale Sans was developed. Its rounded shapes and ink traps are inspired by the moka machine itself and traditional coffee cups, allowing the font to gracefully adapt across various applications.
